Registered Behavior Technician
Eileen has been working with children with special needs for 10 years and has been a member of the Dream Team since August 2014. She graduated from Athens State University in 2012 with a bachelors degree in special education. Eileen was the first Registered Behavior Technician in North Alabama (the second in the state) and plans to return to school in January to pursue a graduate certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis and become a BCaBA.
- What did you want to be when you grew up?
Catwoman. I own two cats now soooo...close enough.
- Favorite Children’s movie?
I grew up on Star Wars and still love it to this day! The Little Mermaid is my favorite cartoon movie.
- Hidden Talent?
Spending all of my money at Target!
- Favorite Color?
Green. It's such a happy color!
- Favorite Board Game?
- If you joined the circus what would your job be?
A clown because I love being silly and making people laugh.
- What is the most important part of your therapy session?
Pairing and reinforcement. It's so important to build relationships with the children and keep them motivated!
- Cheesiest joke you know?
What do you call cheese that isn't yours? NACHO CHEESE!!
- Favorite comfort food?
A loaded baked potato with pulled pork and a sweet tea from Lawler's Barbecue.
- Favorite toy when you were little?
My Little Pony and Barbies. When I was eight, my mom brought a huge box home from work and we used it to make a mansion for my Barbies and Ponies!
- What is your favorite part of your job?
Everything! I love to play with the kids and hang out with my coworkers, and I even like taking data and then graphing it because I love to see all of the progress the kids make.
